The Stars are Really Dancing Through December!

Terra Wolfe

As we look at December on this first day, we notice that Mercury is retrograde. That's what took me out for a couple of weeks. But I am all set now.

We have a couple of patterns to consider here. First that Earth grand trine is separating as Mars proceeds throughVirgo. Although today it is still pretty strong with Mars trining Pluto within a three degree orb. It is moving out fast.

Then we have a Jupiter/Neptune sextile, but although l it never quite gets exact. The moon joined it today to give it a bit more presence. Moon and Neptune can be very spacey and emotional. But it is a nice feeling time and with Jupiter at a pleasant angle it is pretty cool. Just a day or so though and it is past. But Jupiter stays within the sextile for awhile; which is very good for things like music and art...ideas that just pour in, feeling perfectly natural but they appear like magic as though from somewhere else. Neptune has moved into direct motion now and is two degrees from moving into Pisces its own sign where it is very powerful, so stay tuned for more of its influence for several years.

Pluto is direct too and on the 10thUranus will go stationary direct and proceed through Aries, which should be quite a trip. Not that it will not have any retrogrades through this time, there will be several because those outer planets are often retrograde. This is one of those times when all are direct. You will seldom feel any difference from the retrograde, except when they are right at the turning point (stationary) then they seem to have the most power.

On the 3rdof December we have a bump in the road when the Sun conjuncts Mercury retrograde and squares Mars in Virgo. It passes quickly but look out for tempers flaring and feeling all “Marsy” about things that you usually glide past. The Moon is right on Uranus today too, so watch your temper.

The third is quite a powerful day in many aspects as I keep looking. Venus is on Pluto and trining Mars. Good? Bad? Wonderful? You have to check your own personal charts to see. This day is all over the place. And Saturn is coming into a trine with Neptune that could allow all of those great ideas coming along to become substantial.

On December 12thMercury is stationary direct. A week or two in the shadow should take it back to just being friendly little Mercury.

If you are looking at your own chart in relation to all of this. Look at 9-12 degrees and again at 26 to 1 degree in the next sign. That seems to be where all the action is.

On the 13ththere is a quick hit as the Moon moves into a fire grand trine with Uranus and Mercury. I usually wouldn't mention this but I fine that Mercury Uranus can result it temper flares, generally spoken. Sometimes you have to do that, just be sure you do it to the person who needs it and not just the person who is handy.

Saturn is moving into an opposition with Jupiter next month and by the end of this month you will begin to feel it. There is a push pull here between expansion and security. If we can find the balance, it can serve us well, it can just as easily be frustrating. This will be felt most strongly right at the beginning and the ends of the signs, particularly Earth ( Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and water (Cancer Scorpio, Pisces) . Squares will be in Leo and Aquarius. This is kind of an important event in the social planets range, you will see this one happening out in the world at this time too.

On the 23rdwe have the New Moon trining Jupiter...there is a promising note! Of course things being as they are, the Sun also squares Uranus that day. Big changes that turn out to be productive are the best outcome of these energies. Life being out of control and not feeling too bad is another possibility. Of course the new moon tends to linger in its influence and this day is way too interesting to be ignored.

Toward the end of the month the Saturn/Neptune trine with it's sextile to Jupiter is looking pretty interesting. Things can be accomplished now that began with dreams and creativity. Sweet! This is reinforced on the 28thwith a Sun/Pluto conjunction that makes a wide trine to Jupiter...but with all of the rest going on, wide works for me. The Universe is putting an interesting package together for us at the moment.

Moving to the last night of the year we have a couple of squares that really don't connect to the pattern but can have personal effects. Pluto and the Sun are squaring to Moon for a couple of hours and Mercury squares Mars at 20 degrees Virgo and Sagittarius. Neither of these are long lasting or particularly annoying. Just the normal bumps in the road.

The real action as it will be for the next few years, is the Outer Planets and the Two social planets.

Happy Holiday. Blessed Yule.

October begins as a breath of fresh air.....

We start with four planets in Libra, The Sun and Mercury conjunct (in the same degree) and Venus and Saturn conjunct too. Sun and Mercury make a lovely sextile to mars in Leo. Letting those things you are thinking about come into making it happen.

It is a wonderful time to be creative. The spirit is there and so is the energy to go ahead and DO it.

I don't mention the Moon that much in a transit chart because it moves so fast it is an influence for a couple of hours, but on the 6th Through to the 8th the Moon is in Aquarius making one trine after another to the personal planets in Libra. It is a good feeling time, with emotions expanding the creativity and relationships that Libra loves so much.

At the end of this passage at 28-1 degrees in Air crossing over to Water, the Moon conjuncts Neptune, feelings and that spiritual, non-rational area of transformation joining the energy of Venus, creativity and relationships all blending together in an easy way. Granted it is less than a day long, but it really feels good.

On the 9th Venus crosses into emotional Scorpio. The air gets chillier and we get shorter days. Scorpio is about taking emotions to their deepest levels. So airy Venus begins to dig in deep. Mercury follows on the 14th while the Sun is getting serious in a conjunction with Saturn. The mood has changed. What was the smell of autumn leaves is wet and rainy and makes you want to be inside by a fire.

On the 15th Venus opposes Jupiter, brightening things up a bit, on the 17th Mercury follows along to the opposition. Bringing in some new ideas.

On the 22nd the Sun trines Neptune with its inclination toward spiritual experiences. The Sun enters Scorpio on the 22nd bringing that Neptune energy into the emotional area. On the 24th.

Also on the 24th Mars, still happily in Leo, begins to square both Venus and Mercury. This might make the mood a bit grumpy. On the 27th and 28th the Moon joins the other three planets in Scorpio, on the 28th it conjuncts both Venus and mercury with the Mars square still in effect. Jupiter also opposes the Sun today, so I would expect moodiness to be everywhere. All kinds of moods from high to low.

Samhain finds Venus and Mercury squaring Neptune, and Mars. It seems perfect for a time when the veil is thin between the worlds. Neptune is the perfect vehicle for this.

It is a strange land and cannot be seen through the filter of the known. It dissolves ego, to remove limitations and introduce the soul to a higher order of perception.

The effect being accomplished is a higher connection to the collective unconscious.

September Brings us Back to Earth.

September finds us with our feet mostly back on the ground. And more than that The Sun is trining Jupiter! Good day! And a good couple of days. Jupiter trines feel good and if they hit your natal planets at 8-12 degrees in Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) it is especially nice. Earth Signs, feet on the ground will feel very good now, after such a Neptune month last month. You can feel like you know what you are doing.

The Sun is also at the end phase of a trine to Pluto that can bring real power with Jupiter there. But there is always a good chance that the energy just goes round and round and feels goo but things don't get accomplished unless you can push through. Fortunately in Earth Signs, sometimes you can do that.

Mercury is out of retrograde as we begin the month and moving along to end the shadow (the place where he entered the retrograde. Still another thing that makes things feel good.

On the 7th Mercury again passes the opposition with Neptune. It might feel like last month when it was hard to think things straight out. But this is just the completion. Only a day or two as Mercury is moving right along now. So just let it be. Pick up those dreams from last month, with three personal planets in Virgo you might be able to bring them into the world now.

Then on the 14th Venus moves into Libra, Venus rules Libra and she is happy there. Romance and Creativity are highlighted while she is there. On the 18th, Mars moves into Leo, a sign that he is very comfortable in too. He likes to make things happen and he can here.

On the 18th Venus hits that Cardinal Grand Square point and things can happen fast. It happens at 4 degrees in Libra, so any planets you have at 1-7 in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) will feel the impact. It is entirely possible to get just blown away by a new relationship right now. If you do, it will bring deep level changes into your life.

Right behind it on the 23rd and the 25th respectively, the Sun and Mercury enter Libra. By the 27th they both hit the Cardinal Grand trine point And that will keep the changes coming in the Cardinal Signs. The28th brings Venus to Saturn's point in Libra and this can really take a relationship to serious levels. On the negative side, it can be a limitation, a stumbling block you need to get past.

The end of the month brings us to four planets in Libra, creative times that feel pretty good. The outer planets are not all that involved at the moment except for that drumbeat in the background, for awhile. It is all looking pretty comfortable for a bit.

Mats is squaring Jupiter bringing high energy. Jupiter, even is a square is a generally good, expansive energy. No worries. Enjoy.

A Strange and Magical Month Ahead

Here we are in August when a new player appears. Not that Uranus/Pluto square no longer replies, it will be the big bass drum behind everything for years, and sometimes, it will be the canon. But this month, the major player will be Neptune.

Neptune could be just what the doctor ordered with all the tensions and fears that the square has had in the air because Neptune is not that, not at all.

And our first encounter is right on the first when Mercury opposes Neptune. And since Mercury is stationary about to retrograde it stays close for several days. Yes, it is a Mercury retrograde opposing Neptune. A good time to watch what you are saying and thinking, but, of course, that is not what Neptune wants, so you probably won't do it. And either will anyone around you,so don't be too shocked. A lot of forgiving will be needed.

Unusual as it is, this time can be very creative. Neptune always brings confusion to the rational process (Mercury)There is no order to it, working with the creative forces without a rational filter. When you think about it, you don't have any idea where inspiration came from, it just came.

If you have planets from 26 degrees to 2 degrees, you will feel it.

It is clear that the Neptune symbol is not the product of the social order or the rational mind. It is completely transcendent and while in Neptune's energy these things are insignificant and the individual floats above them.
In order to embrace Neptune energy, you must give yourself permission not to know. The position of the person seeking a vision quest is “I know nothing”. So it is with Neptune. It cannot take you to a higher place if you are chained to reason.

With the retrograde, this is as long as it is possible for a Mercry passage with Neptune in transit. The difference between this passage in transit and a passage to your Natal Mercury is that this is a time when nearly everyone feels it. In your personal passage it takes a long time to complete and can operate more deeply.

Just as Mercury leaves this space ( in a retrograde that began on the 2nd) there is more to come.

On the 9th, the Drum Roll gets really loud as Mars opposes Pluto and squares Uranus. This one can be trouble. This puts all three transformational planets in play and with Neptune among the players, you can forget a rational solution. That is a lot of energy without a pilot.

Critical degrees for this one are 2-6 degrees especially in Cardinals, but every sign will feel it. Cardinals are (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

This could be a really difficult day. Extra care is needed when driving or doing anything where you could get distracted and get yourself into trouble.. Mercury is still exact to Neptune and that is one nasty tee square.

It is also a time when making changes that go all the way to the core of your life can suddenly be in play. In this, follow your instincts.

This will last a few days so it begins just before the 9th and will go on for a few days. I'd do all the extra care things all the way from the 7th to the 11th.

Neptune is an interesting trip, most of the time, but with this tee-square, all bets are off, so do be careful.

By the 15th we can breathe a sigh of relief. Mercury has passed Neptune, for now, and joined up with the Sun and Venus where it is more comfortable, these three stay close for a few days and Mars is pretty well off the tee square, all is well.

On the 19th, Venus is approaching its opposition to Neptune, followed closely by the Sun. These are both personal planets and since Neptune is a higher vibration of Venus, they do well together. Soon the Sun warms it all up and we can have a few days of the nicer side of Neptune.

It is a strange land and cannot be seen through the filter of the the known. It dissolves ego, to remove limitations and introduce the soul to a higher order of perception.

The effect being accomplished is a higher connection to the collective unconscious. With cooperation (allowing yourself not to know) it cam become a connection with the god source.

Transcendent is the key word. The transcendence is beyond the personal beyond the social, beyond anything the mind has perceived, out into the space where every quark is made of unconditional love and dimensional space does not exist. Time is a whole new ball game.

July Begins with Fireworks

Before I begin I want to talk about the Cardinal Grand cross that we have been experiencing for the last year. It is the beginning time of a great deal of change, transformation. It is about the whole world while it is also about your own particular chart. The world can’t change without a change in individuals.

Don’t panic! Remember the 1960’s when Uranus and Pluto were together the last time. It happened in Virgo. It brought us fairness in the form of Civil Rights and Women’s Right. It lead the way in environmental awareness. Virgo is an Earth Sign.

It produced music of genius proportions and it kept coming and changing. We did have lots of change that was more difficult with assassinations and a really awful war. But we ended the draft because of it.

It created lots of good times and people really loving other people.  We worked together in new ways.  And it changed us forever.

Now we are having times like that again, a bit more so this time with Aries in it. Aries really likes to make things happen, but with Uranus there expect strokes of genius, new technology that changes things; and some really significant pushes toward new ideas.

We are breaking out from the old constraints of business and government and creating a new world. Begin to visualize this new world as you want it to be, so that you will be ready when it is time to do your part.

……………………...

July looks to be quite a month. It begins with a solar eclipse that is part of the Cardinal grand square. July first just ignites this difficult passage that is really a taste of a series of seven Pluto Uranus squares that begins for real next year. And although it is not exact yet, there are three really strong planets and both Lights involved. (Lights are Sun/Moon.) And that is a lot of power.

Saturn is sitting in Libra trying to balance it all out and provide some structure, but that is a lot to ask with the energy of the other planets involved.

Uranus demands change, new ideas, moving quickly from one kind of life to another, in Aries it can be genius. But it is also given lots of extra fire energy there and it will make noise, move things, change minds, change lives.

Pluto is the planet of deep transformation; it moves slowly giving enough time to let the transformations move us deeply. Pluto requires you to release whatever holds you to old ideas, old objects that tie you to those ideas and that shape of life. It does this in preparation for a new life that is larger and freer and more suited to whom you have become.

Pluto is in Capricorn, signifying transformation of government and business. I think that we can all see that those areas need some change.

These two working together will change not only your life but the world. And it kicks off July first, with the eclipse. An Eclipse is serious energy that creates a sensitive point for years to come. It means that the Sun and moon are not just passing by, but are literally on top of each other in the sky. It is a tidal power here on Earth.

The eclipse and grand square will affect planets from 1 to 12 degrees in Cardinal signs, especially but it will be felt at those degrees in any sign. That means most of us will feel this, especially in the first several days of July.

So the month begins with a bang. And it is not going to be over for awhile.

On the second, while the grand square moves off a bit. The exact square between the Sun and Saturn is in place now and a trine is formed between Venus and Neptune, a dreamy sort of day, ripe for creativity. The Saturn square can give substance to that creativity, but it can also block it a bit, but let it ripen and it will still be there.

Also in place and staying there for awhile is a Jupiter/Pluto trine. That is very nice for getting a hold of your power and using it for benefit. This is especially true if you have planets at 4 to 8 degrees in Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), or to a lesser extent those degrees in any sign.

At the same time, Jupiter is squaring Mercury, so communication might be off a bit, but kind of interesting. Neptune can be the most spiritual planet. But like everything in the stare there is a shadow side and with Neptune, it is addiction. So keep your wits about you.

On the 5th Venus triggers the Uranus, Pluto tee-square with more happening in that area. But at the same time that it triggers that aspect it is still trining dreamy Neptune. So things could get weird. That makes all the transformational planets in a formation with Venus, art, love, relationship issues are getting changed deeply. Venus says in this position for a few days but Neptune leaves the game fairly quickly.

On the 9th, Uranus in Aries stations retrograde, often a day of powerful change.

Things kind of calm down after that but remember that he Moon moves quickly and about every week it is going to make a hard angle (square or opposition) to the Pluto/Uranus square. So it is not at all over, it is just beginning. And when it is not, it is making aspects to Neptune. All of the transformational planets are being aspected by personal planets now. If its not one thing, it’s another.

Toward the end of the month Mars makes a nice trine with Neptune. This forms as there is an opposition from Mercury to Neptune. Lots you want to do, not sure of how you want to do it. Creativity is everywhere. It is a good time to put some power into visualizing the world you want to create. Dream big. Make it be!

June Is Busting Out All Over, Eventually….

June begins with a new moon, partial solar eclipse at 11 degrees in Gemini.  And although eclipses tend to be pretty intense, this one looks way easier than the energy we have seen for the last couple of months.

There is a stabilizing trine to Saturn in Libra that should keep the Gemini energy rather mellow.  Adding to this we have three personal (Mercury, Venus, Mars) planets in Earthy Taurus, keeping the personal life on an even keel.  It looks like a nice beginning.

On the 4th, Jupiter moves into Taurus bringing its bigger than life energy to this Venus ruled Earth sign for the next 12 months.  Taurus likes stability.  It is also a creative energy.  Jupiter tends to make things larger and generally better.  It should be a bit of a relief to get all that energy out of fire and into some of the less demanding energies.

Taurus’s preference for security and material goods should benefit from Jupiter’s visit, too.  We will probably notice an improvement in the economy this year.  Taurus is not much of a risk taker.  Things should settle down a bit.

Meanwhile, on the 2nd, Mercury has moved into its own sign, Gemini, where it is very comfortable, communications and quick thinking will be highlighted.

Venus enters Gemini on the 9th, Venus gets a bit fidgety and flighty here, and she tends toward drama and likes a lot of attention.  It is a good time to depend more on mental energy than creativity.

The first three weeks of June look pretty easygoing.  That should be a relief after the last few months, a real breather.

The only sign of discord in this time is as Mercury hits the first few degrees of Cancer. From the 17th to the 29th, that will be the first activation of the Cardinal tee square.

Shortly after, the Sun follows it into that space, but it begins with Mercury, communication and quick thinking.

On the 21st, the Summer Solstice,  the Sun moves into Cancer and we are again in the Cardinal signs and things get more intense again.

The intensity of the 21st is rather gentle, as the day’s energy is the Sun’s trine to NeptuneNeptune is dreamy and spiritual, a little off the planet in its energy.  Just now Neptune is in its own sign (Pisces) where it is strongest.  It is best experienced from a spiritual perspective.

Neptune does not like practicalities and will get in the way if you try to be logical about things.  This is happening at zero degrees in Cancer, it will be felt most strongly if you have planets from 28-3 degrees. It will really apply to any sign, one way or the other.

June 25-30 bring us back into the Cardinal Grand Cross energy that began last year.  Only this year it is more of a Cardinal tee-square as Saturn has moved on out of orb. But it has Uranus and Pluto in it and that is a lot of energy for one area of the chart. While their square is not exact this year, it is getting pretty close.

It starts with Uranus energy exact on the 25th but close enough to count for several days before and after. Uranus is a quick, explosive energy that demands change.

It is just beginning its transit of Aries and Aries really magnifies this energy. It is happening at 4 degrees, Look for planets at 4 degrees especially in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)  It will be in your energy even if the degrees are 2-9 degrees.

On the 27th, the Sun opposes Pluto (which squares Uranus).  This is at 8 degrees of Cardinal signs, plus of minus about three degrees.

This is a tremendous energy in the early degrees of a lot of signs.

This energy should give us a taste of the Uranus, Pluto squares that begin in earnest next year.

Pluto is the energy of deep transformation.  Uranus and Pluto were the predominate energy of the 1960’s.  But in the sixties they were conjunct in Virgo a rather easy going place for this energy.  Not so much when they are squaring in Capricorn and Aries, this is extremely strong energy in extremely demanding signs.  Starting next year and for several years beyond there will be 8 exact squares of the two planets.  When this is over, it will feel like a different world.

But in this particular tee square, we should look out into the world and see lots of protests in the streets.  Objections all around as to how the world is going, especially dissatisfaction with government and business, a feeling of unease in security in the home.  As the other personal planets move to this point over the summer, it will go on for a time.  It begins late in June.

Tra-La, It's May.....

Mayday, Beltane, Taurus, gentle growthful energy is expected.  This year, not so much!  We are still dealing with a LOADED Aries.  And Aries is energy direct and impulsive, and it is chock full of personal planets today. Even the moon is there.

What does this mean?  It especially means that there is a lot of energy around, and it doesn’t stop and think, it just goes right at things.

Now last month had most of this going on but Mercury was retrograde, so the energy sort of went sideways and blew around.  Not so much now.  Mercury is out of retrograde and more or less out of shadow.

All the things that got you going last month you can go after directly now.  And lots of people will.

On May Day, we have Mars and Jupiter right together in Aries, where Mars is right at home. Expect people to be making noise and going directly after what they want.  You can do that too, especially if you have planets at 22 degrees in a fire sign (Aries, Leo Sagittarius) or a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn).  And you can give it five degrees in either direction. But the last thing you want to do is get in the way of those who do by trying to slow them down when they are moving fast.

On the tenth we have Jupiter Venus and Mercury exactly on that 23 degree point.  You can give this on five degrees in either direction too, it is powerful. That is going to be quite a significant degree this month!

The Sabian symbol for Mars/Jupiter is:
“A woman in pastel colors carrying a heavy and valuable but veiled load.”

There is a bit of mystery but with value and a generally upbeat energy, potential treasure.

The Sabian Symbol for 23 degrees with Mercury, Venus and Jupiter on May 10th is:
“An open window and a net curtain blowing into a cornucopia .”

You can smell the flowers in the air and the cornucopia filling with fresh food.

These symbols indicate that the power in these two degrees is of a generally positive and lucrative, expansive nature.  Jupiter itself is about expansion and is generally considered to be very fortunate as is Venus.  So it looks like the power in May will be for the good.  Especially in the degrees I mentioned.

Finally on the 16th  it starts to mellow out to feeling like Taurus,  ahhhh.  Of course by that time the Sun is already in Gemini, it is Mercury, Venus and Mars that have taken over Taurus.  Venus is in its own sign.  Now that feels better.  And the energy stays for a bit, on the 20th they are all in the same place (conjunct) in Taurus at 7 degrees and trining Pluto in Capricorn and the moon there too.   A lot of power here!  Emotional, relationship, communications, I would expect a lot of relationships beginning or going to a higher level at this time with the Moon/Pluto transformation is in the wind.

For the strongest indications of this energy look at 7 degrees in Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) or the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius).

On the 30th, the moon is hanging around in Taurus with the three planets there.  The energy of Taurus continues all month, despite the Sun’s ingress into Gemini.

Taurus loves the outdoors, any kind of plant life, animals and nature.  Taurus is artistic, particularly in a practical crafty way.  Things one can use rather than just cerebral forms.  It is a pleasant and grounded energy that should be lovely after the Aries overdose of the last several weeks.  Enjoy.
